Tuesday, December 23, we will meet at the Columbus Library at 5:45 pm. We will walk the neighborhood and return to the library for some hot chocolate afterwards. Please call Kathy at 623-2285 to RSVP.
Date Change - Chili Luncheon
We’re trying something new! We are holding a chili luncheon on Sunday, February 15th from noon-3pm. Bring your family in to help out or eat great food. Please contact Kathy Raatz at 920-623-2285 if you are able to help.
Middle School Students
Since community service is a requirement for St. Jerome 6th, 7th and 8th Graders, and working at the chili luncheon would be an excellent opportunity for you to fulfill that requirement, you could sign up to help! Please contact Patti Soter at 608-697-1189 to schedule your community service hours at the Chili Luncheon.

Your Money at Work:
Phil Hemling has offered to donate his time to paint the kitchen and install a special type of wall board to prevent paint damage near the dishwasher. Home and School will pay $100 for the materials. Thank you for your generosity, Phil!

We are currently missing $400 in opt-out fees from families who have not participated in the fall fundraiser. This money would go a long way in our quest to enhance your child’s education.
Thank you Kathy Baerwolf Linda Gosdeck, Yvonne Halfmann, Kimberly Schultz, Dawn & Amber Weissman, and the Seventh Grade Class for your help when the fall fundraiser was delivered. Your help was awesome!
Christmas
Program Tonight!
Home and School is holding a reception in the gym after the Christmas Programs tonight.
Each school family should bring a dozen treats or cut fruits or vegetables to the gym before the program. Punch will be furnished by Home and School.

Ms. Weisensel would love some help rearranging the stage during the prelude tonight (6:30-7:00 pm) and taking down the stage after the program.

$20 from handmade greeting cards for sale in the school office
That’s $430 that we didn’t have before – Thank you to everyone who contributed to these fundraisers.
Cutting Corners
The staff offered to pay for their spouses/guests at the Christmas Party.

Chili Supper
Home and School has been approached by some very enthusiastic school families who want to try to hold a Chili Supper as a winter fundraiser.
The date has been set for Saturday, February 14th from 5-7pm. We are hoping to run this with the help of students and adults. Want to be a part of this?

Your Money at Work:
Field Trips
The 6-8th Graders went on an overnight trip to Camp Gray. Each participant had to pay $34, and Home and School paid the rest, which is approximately $20 for each student.
Locker Room Remodeling
The locker rooms have been remodeled – with new lockers, showers, and fixtures. They really needed the work and the finished product looks marvelous!
We have spent $2500 on the remodeling, and Athletics spent $2500.
Cutting Corners
As much as we hate do this, the reality is money is tight. There are a few places where we can conserve our funds, and right now the following is being considered:
Eliminate Catholic Schools Week T-Shirts
Eliminate Staff Christmas Gifts
Eliminate Staff Spouses at Christmas Party
The Home & School Board is working to use our money as efficiently as possible. Let us know of any ideas you may have.

Home and School has been approached by some very enthusiastic school families who want to try to hold a Chili Supper as a winter fundraiser. This could take the place of a spring fundraiser. Look for more information as the details become finalized.
