Catholic Schools Week!
Jan 24-30, 2009
Catholic Schools Week is coming soon, and there will be many activities planned throughout the week. Some of these are:

A kickoff Mass on Saturday, Jan. 24th at 4:30pm with a Spaghetti Dinner to follow. Sue Droessler and Sue Jahnke started this tradition about five years ago. This year, the teachers and staff will be organizing the dinner for the school families. Thank you!

Family Fun Night on Friday, January 30, beginning at 5:30 pm. There will be lip sync performances by the 5-8th grades, pizza and beverages for sale at very reasonable prices, and a DJ with karaoke after the lip syncs.

Each family is asked to bring an appetizer or desert.

There will be a Children’s Room for the wee ones from 6:30-8:30, with chaperones and fun things for them to do.

Safety is always a concern, so please intervene if you see children running, speaking, or behaving inappropriately.

Adults are needed to supervise the hallway, the stage, operating the concession stand, supervising the Children’s Room, and everyone’s favorite, clean up.

Please sign up & return this form in the blue envelope.

Chili Supper

Home & School will be holding a chili luncheon Sunday, February 15th from 12-3pm. If you are friendly, energetic, fun-loving, and want to have a tasty meal, you should sign up for this! YOU WANT to be a part of this!

Your Money at Work:
We spent $50 for the Christmas reception.
We donated $100 toward the painting of the kitchen.

What We’re Up To:
Twenty four out of 101 school families returned Christmas Reception surveys. There have been many helpful ideas, and we appreciate all the input received. Thank you!

The Home & School Board got together in November for an evening of lively conversation and brainstorming. Each of us will be looking at other Catholic Schools to learn more about their H&S organizations. We are open to ideas and suggestions on how to best serve our school.

Mark your calendars for the spring meeting

on Wednesday, April 22 at 6:00 pm. You can voice your opinions on how H&S money is budgeted!
